ABOUT JACKPOT RECORDS: Jackpot Records is an independent record label based in Portland, Oregon, that focuses on vinyl reissues of classic as well as obscure titles. Care is paid to giving each album the most authentic and true-to-form representation, with recordings taken from the original master tapes whenever possible. We’ve reissued records by The Meters, The Wipers, Etta James, Dead Boys, Willie Nelson, Devo, Bill Evans, Nirvana, Martin Denny, Mudhoney, Silver Apples & James Brown, to name just a few. The reissue label started in 2004, but Jackpot Records actually began as an independent record store in 1997 (which is still operating at 3574 SE Hawthorne Blvd in Portland, OR). Jackpot has offered free, all-ages in-store performances, signings, meet-and-greets, and is the go-to spot for vinyl obsessives.
