Created at the start of 1997, Universal Music Group International (UMGI) is headquartered in High Street Kensington, London. UMGI manages UMG's offices in most countries outside of North America. Please use it as label only if Universal Music Group International logo appears. Jørgen Larsen became President in 1993 of MCA Music Entertainment International Ltd. This was renamed Universal Music Group International Ltd. on 24 December 1996 and Larsen oversaw the rebranding of MCA as Universal globally over the next few months. In June 1998, in preparation for the acquisition of PolyGram by Universal parent Seagram (completed in January 1999), he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UMGI until his retirement on June 30, 2006. Lucian Grainge became Chairman and CEO of UMGI on July 1, 2006. On January 1, 2013 Max Hole was appointed Chairman and CEO of UMGI until October 21, 2015. For the company Dutch office see .
