Originally founded as an online hip-hop record store in 2002, under the name hiphopvinyl.de, it was rebranded to HHV.de in the fall of 2005: The main reason was that the initial repertoire of hip hop, jazz, funk and soul has very much opened up so that today it includes electronic music, reggae, rock as well as indie. Named "HHV" in 2018.
