Death / thrash metal band from Trollhättan, Sweden, active since 1990. Originally formed as Crown Of Thorns, but was forced to change name in 1997, because a Christian glam-pop group had the rights to the name. Hence the name was shortened to The Crown. They disbanded in 2004, but reformed again in 2009. Current line-up: Johan Lindstrand: vocals (1990-2001, 2002-2004, since 2011) Marko Tervonen: guitars (1998-2004, since 2009) Marcus Sunesson: guitars (1998-2004, 2009-2012, since 2024) Mattias Rasmussen: bass (since 2022) Mikael Norén: drums (since 2022)
