Melanie Martinez (born April 28, 1995) is an American singer and songwriter. Born in Astoria, Queens, and raised in Baldwin, New York, Martinez rose to fame in 2012 after appearing on season 3 of the American television talent show The Voice. Following the show, she was signed to Atlantic Records. In 2014, she released her debut extended play (EP), Dollhouse. Martinez later released 3 studio albums; Cry Baby in 2015, K-12 in 2019, and PORTALS in 2023.
