Ringo Starr is the pseudonym of Sir , MBE (born 7 July 1940 in Liverpool, England, UK) a British musician, singer, songwriter, and occasional actor. He was the drummer for when he was invited to replace Pete Best as the drummer of the in August 1962; he remained with the band until their breakup in April 1970.
