Original members: Lou Reed (born 2 March 1942 - died 27 October 2013): vocals, guitar, piano John Cale (born 9 March 1942): vocals, electric viola, organ, bass guitar Sterling Morrison (born 29 August 1942 - died 30 August 1995): vocals, guitar and bass guitar Maureen Tucker (born 26 August 1944): drums, percussion. Angus MacLise was the original drummer, but did not officially record with the band. was only a fleeting member, merely contributing vocals to 4 songs of the 1967 debut LP. Conversely, the band did contribute to her solo debut [m35096] 1967.
