Obese Records

Independent Australian hip hop label and retail store. Founded in 1995 by Ollie Bobbit as just a record store called "O.B.'s Records" that specialised in hip hop music and merch. Towards the end of the decade, Bobbit sold the business to Shazlek One, who changed the name to "Obese Records" following a suggestion from Bias B to change it to reflect Shaz's weight. Pegz joined Obese as an employee in 2000, and subsequently took over in 2002, expanding the business into multiple divisions and physical locations before shutting it down in 2016.
