Börje Forsberg established Black Mark Production in 1991 as an extreme metal label releasing a variety of mainly European bands. From 1991 until the late nineties, the label's headquarter was located in Berlin, Germany. After that, they moved back to Sweden - the label now operates from the Villa Hammerheart in Bruzaholm. The year 2001 brought changes in the company. The record company was created, thus the company logo was changed to Black Mark "Metal for the World" and the label code number was changed to LC 06201: The company has been resuming its releases under the new name to this day.
