'Korova' (Russian for 'Cow') is a reference to the Korova Milk Bar in Stanley Kubrick's film of Anthony Burgess' novel A Clockwork Orange. The imprint was founded by Rob Dickins in 1979 as an outlet for . The label was active throughout the 1980s and also released records from other bands such as but also the UK releases by The Residents and a few others. Mainly distributed by the Warner Elektra Asylum group of record companies. Former labelcode: LC 7259 The label was reactivated by WEA in 2003 to issue the 25th anniversary remastered editions of Echo & The Bunnymen's first six LPs but also signed bands such Cosmic Rough Riders, The Storys and The Sounds. Korova collapsed in 2007.
