Matrix Musik

The first electronic label in Eastern Europe, established 1993. The early releases included a string of 12" singles/EPs by local talent, most of which are still widely sought-after. Later the label started releasing mix-CDs by DJs of worldwide renown, such as Kevin Saunderson, DJ Rush, Umek, Marco Bailey, Slam... etc. Most of these were released on the Explicit Musick sublabel. The label has been reborn in 2023 as Matrix Music Arhiv, releasing ex-Yugoslavian remastered albums by Borghesia (90s EBM, Slovenia), Videosex (80s alternative pop, Slovenia), Beograd (80s techno-pop, Serbia) and Karlowy Vary (80s new wave, Croatia).
