Norwegian label originally founded by Satyr Wongraven to release black metal, but also to release "quality music of any genre." To this end, they have released a number of notable synth/ambient projects as well. In 2014 the label reactivated and Satyr bought back various master rights in order to be able to re-release albums. As stated Moonfog will not sign bands or release records like it used to, but will continue to be the company that owns Satyricon’s music.
