Swedish classical music label. Label Code: LC 3240 / LC 03240. (formerly ) is a Swedish record company based in Åkersberga, founded in 1973 by Robert von Bahr. BIS has, among other things, specialized in Nordic music, in particular Jean Sibelius, as well as works by lesser-known composers such as Eduard Tubin. The company's recordings are known to have a large dynamic range, which mimic the real differences between weak and strong sound in a concert hall. In Seotember 2023 BIS was acquired by for an estimated $7.6 million.
