Born from a profound desire to conserve the musical heritage of North Africa and the Middle East, Elmir Records documents and gives a fresh perspective to these musical oeuvres. These sounds are as rich as they are diverse, ranging from the beginning of the century to the present day. It was urgent to give new life to these repertoires — still too unknown — by recalling world-famous figures and by (re)discovering more obscure artists.
