Pioneering New Zealand independent label operating 1980-83. Propeller is regarded as the first of the wave of post-punk NZ indies. The label released various compilations in the years since, although its subsidiaries, Huh Records, and Joy Records, have been active signing and releasing new artists since. Distributed initially by Ode Records, then Festival Records (NZ) Ltd. and now by DRMNZ. Owned by Simon Grigg.
