Vertigo/Capitol is the domestic division of Universal Music GmbH. One part of Universal Music Domestic Division (together with Polydor/Island, previously known as Universal Music Domestic Pop) and mainly responsible for Rock, R&B and Hip-Hop artists and bands which have their origins in Germany and/or use the German language, but sometimes also for artists from different countries. Formerly Vertigo Berlin, it also adsorbed Universal Music Domestic Rock/Urban and was renamed Vertigo/Capitol in 2013.
