Sony Masterworks

Multinational label. Classical crossover label introduced in February 1992 and discontinued around 1997. Between 2004 and 2008 - the Sony BMG era - the "Masterworks" name was used for Sony BMG Masterworks. In 2010 Sony Music Entertainment launched a new classical music label entitled simply "Masterworks" (with the Masterworks text within a rectangular box as a logo).
