Argentinian label, owned by Microfon Argentina S.R.L. (later as Microfon Argentina S.A.) Bought by Sony Music Entertainment Inc. circa 1996, and became a sub-label of Sony Music Entertainment (Argentina) S.A. Microfon is now a trademark of Sony Music Entertainment (Argentina) S.A. (nowadays Sony Music Entertainment Argentina S.A.) Approximate dates for label designs (only applies for Argentine releases) (unknown) to early '65: "Microfon" spread out on the top over red label '65 to '71: Triangle encasing an M & "Microfon", red label '71 to '72: Stamped, stylized M, yellow / orange label '66 to '72: Stamped, stylized M, yellow / orange label - Used haphazardly for 33' singles '72 to '74: Stamped M, composed of triangles, & "Microfon", light yellow label '74 to '78: Stamped M & "Microfon" in center left, printed Tree over South America '79 to '80: Enclircled M & "Microfon", over yellow label '81 to '85: White M & "Microfon", printed green label with starred skyl '85 to '89: Curved white M & "Microfon" on left, printed city skyline From 1990 onwards Microfon switched to CDs.
