GDM

Italian label founded in the 1970s by composer, arranger and record producer Gianni Dell'Orso, specialized in music soundtracks, mostly published on CD. The whole catalog, worldwide distributed (also in digital) includes over 2000 titles, many of them by Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov, Armando Trovaioli, Piero Piccioni, Carlo Rustichelli, Nino Rota, Nico Fidenco, and by many others Italian composers, plus high quality music libraries, synchronization, documentaries, commercials and TV programs. Daniela and Paolo Dell'Orso, the sons of the founder, work at GDM, whose name simply means Gianni Dell'Orso Music. In the 1990s Claudio Casalini DJ'd for a few years, working in the disco and latin music oriented music sectors. More enduring is the collaboration of Claudio Fuiano (better known as "Mr. Soundtrack") for long time major contributor of the label, which shouldn't be confused with namesake "Generale Discografica Milanese" (retired following an arson attack in 1993) and with other "G.D.M., General Distribution Music"; just a regional records distributor.
