Minnesota-based label devoted to stand up comedy releases. Stand Up! Records was launched in 2001 by Dan Schlissel , out of the ashes of indie rock label . In 2001, Schlissel noticed that indie rock was a hard road, and that comedy CDs actually sold. He decided to brand the comedy releases separately, and let the music arm of things wither, focusing solely on comedy.
