Born on September 12, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, USA. An American pianist and conductor. Kahane was formerly the music director of the San Antonio Philharmonic (2024–2026), Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (1997–2017), Colorado Symphony Orchestra (2005–2010), and Santa Rosa Symphony (1995–2006). He currently is the music director laureate of the SRSO (since 2006) and LACO (since 2017).
