Italian composer and harpsichordist, born in Naples on the 26th of October, 1685, and died in Madrid on the 23rd of July, 1757. He is classified primarily as a Baroque composer chronologically, although his music was influential in the development of the Classical style. Son of Alessandro Scarlatti.
