Turkish rock singer, song writer and tv host (born in Istanbul on 2 January 1943 - died on 1 February 1999 of a heart attack). His mother Rikkat Uyanık was a famous Turkish singer in the 1940s. Living in Paris during the 1960s, he started the band Les Mistigris. Considered one of the most influential pop artists of Turkey. Founder member of the band Kurtalan Ekspres.
