KAJ is a Finland-Swedish music and entertainment group from Vörå in Ostrobothnia, Finland, founded in 2009. The group consists of three members: Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman, and Jakob Norrgård, whose first names' initials form the group's name. They typically perform their songs in Swedish (Vörå dialect), which is difficult for most Swedish speakers to understand. KAJ's music style is techno-inspired humor music. In addition to their primary act, they have a humorous rockabilly band called Vörjeans, with songs about beer, Volvo, and being young and crazy in Ostrobothnia. The name Vörjeans is a play on words, as they perform in blue jeans and denim jackets and come from Vörå, with the name humorously resembling the English word "virgin." The band was founded in 2009. In 2014, their song "Jåo nåo e ja jåo YOLO ja nåo" was selected as the Swedish-speaking song of the year in Finland, and in 2015, they were chosen as Ostrobothnians of the Year. KAJ has released three albums produced by Janne Hyöty, a prolific Eurovision song composer from Vaasa. Their music videos have garnered hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. In addition to their music projects and numerous concerts, they performed a 24-show series at Wasa Teater and created a Christmas calendar program for Yle X3M radio channel in 2014. In autumn 2018, KAJ, in collaboration with Wasa Teater, premiered the musical Gambämark, directed by the theater's former director Ann-Luise Bertell. The musical was performed at the former Ritz cinema due to theater renovations. KAJ is set to participate in the 2025 Melodifestivalen with their song "Bara bada bastu." They competed in the fourth semi-final and advanced directly to the finals.
