Fred Spider

Musician (Hammond Organ, Fender Rhodes, Hohner clavinet), DJ since 1983, music producer and artistic director of La Marquise from 1993 (Club in Lyon). Born in Lyon (France), lived in Barcelona from 2005 and since 2010 he is based in Cape Town were he opened Voom Voom records and 2 vintage shops. He played with the following bands: Hey! Bookmakers, Kool Kats Club, Colorblind, The Jivers. Originally from Lyon, France, Fred is no stranger to the music industry. For the past four decades, from Tokyo to Barcelona, New York to Buenos Aires, he has shared the decks with some of the most renowned DJs, including Jazzanova, Daft Punk, Mr. Scruff, Gilles Peterson, Quantic, Bugz in the Attic, and Dimitri from Paris, to name just a few. He is co-founder of the record labels Rotax, Plein Gaz Productions, 2 Siders, Blindtest and now Voom Voom Records.
