Bloodstain – A thrash metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 2023. Bloodstain describes themselves as part of The New Wave of Swedish Thrash Metal. The band was founded in the fall of 2023 by three classmates at Rytmus Music School in Stockholm with the goal of competing in Lidingö Rock, one of Sweden’s longest-running music contests. Their debut live performance took them all the way to the finals, where they earned an honorable second-place finish. Guitarists Linus Lindin and Oskar Lindroos also made history by sharing the “Best Guitarist” award for the first time in the competition’s history. In February 2024, just six months after forming, Bloodstain entered Solna Sound Studio to record their debut EP I Am Death. The six-track release was engineered by Simon Johansson (Soilwork, Wolf) and co-produced by Stefan Norgren. Mixing and mastering were handled by Ronnie Björnström, known for his work with Meshuggah, Sorcerer, Aeon, Mezzrow, and more. The EP, released on March 22, 2024, showcases the band's powerful and aggressive sound, blending high-speed riffs with melodic yet brutal songwriting.
