Mike Salta and Marty Mortale come from different musical worlds, gathering an open minded and wide span of experience to their sound universe. Mortale, having a prestigious music academy background and a focal point in jazz, funk and the good grooves. Mike Salta, coming from a classical piano path, growing up with electronics and having tailored the turntables since he was 7. The Musician and the DJ plus all the bits of life in between shaping an entrepreneurship with a technical minded core, but most of all, an approach based on life experience and gratitude to music. Always reflected by a very balearic philosophy in their works. As a duo, striving to explore and challenge conventional vibes in a span embracing acoustic and electronic music without limits. Initially without aiming at being tastepleasers, they embrace music from all times without caring about trends and genre. Beyond reinventing any musical plates, their sound palette has roots in a wider cosmos spanning from, 70’s mediterranean soul, nu yorican jazz, world fusion and proto disco, to distinct club atmospheres, pool vibes and eclectic house music. An accessible, yet uncompromising sound founded on true passion.
