Message is a roots reggae band formed by a group of devoted musicians from Bilbao, Santander and Sabadell (Spain). Their aim is to play, record, share and spread roots reggae music and its values. The band members are Javier “Bass Lee” Arkotxa, Gorka “Junior G” Fernández, Ferrán “I-Man Cruz” Cocera, Gorka “Mr. Bassie” Sánchez, Ibai “Dub Etxea” Areitio, Roberto “Jah Riddim” Bartolomé and Roberto “Lone Ark” Sánchez. The band is 100% instrumental and has been inspired by the sounds and messages of the greatest roots reggae icons of the 70’s, especially by the musicians, who were the real architects of this music. The band has always been captivated by the texture, chords and melodies of their musical heroes. And so they have composed their own instrumental material.
