American hip hop collective formed in 1992 in New York City. D.I.T.C. stands for Diggin' in the Crates. The group's name derives from the act of seeking out records to sample for music production. Members are Diamond D, Showbiz and AG, Lord Finesse, Big L, O.C., Fat Joe and Buckwild, Lamont Coleman aka Big L was shot and killed on February 15, 1999, in Harlem, New York. In his honor, the group dedicated the track "Tribute" to him on their 2000 album D.I.T.C..
