Yves Klein

Yves Klein (April 28, 1928, Nice - June 6, 1962, Paris, France) was a French visual artist, theorist and performer. Klein allegedly conceived the idea Symphonie monotone in 1947 or 1949, a musical composition of a single tone : "I created a monotone symphony whose theme is what I wished my life to be." The piece premiered in 1960.
