Martha Velez

A classically trained American singer of Puerto Rican heritage, Martha Veléz was born in New York City on August 25, 1945. She is the older sister of Jerry Velez who played percussion for Jimi Hendrix at the Woodstock Festival in 1969, and former wife of trumpet player Keith Johnson. Later in her career she concentrated on acting, and appeared in television series including Falcon Crest and L.A. Law.
