Experimental Quintet

By 1974 the four members of Experimental Quartet were joined by another fellow music student, Gheorghe Marcovici. The well-known formula from that time was: (keyboards), (guitar), (bass), (drums) and (flute). Although after graduation in 1976, group members of Experimental Q (Quintet) parted. The new band formed under the name , with Valentin Farcaș as the only original member. In this new formula, Experimental Quintet 2 was: Valentin Farcaș (guitar), Johann Anton German (piano), Vasile Bârsan (drums), Ioan Kovacs (percussion), Ionel Radosavliev alias Johnny Bota (bass, violin), Peter Franz German (violin), playing only new EQ2 compositions, without the old ones from Experimental Quartet or Experimental Quintet. Experimental Quartet, Quintet and Q2, recorded on the radio and for TV, but did not release any official album before 1989.
