Post-rock/Goth/wave band from Rome, Italy. Klimt 1918 was formed in 1999 from the ashes of by the Soellner brothers. Departing from a death metal sound, the band's music is deeply influenced by 80s new-wave (Bauhaus, the Cure, Joy Division, Tears For Fears, and more). These elements, combined with the dark emotional mood of such bands as Anathema, Katatonia and Novembre, create the sound of Klimt 1918.
