Jochen Distelmeyer

Singer and songwriter, born July 24, 1967 in Bielefeld, Germany. Distelmeyer learned to play various instruments in his adolescence. He moved to Hamburg for civil service in 1987. There, he joined the cassette underground label with his band project , named after a novel by . In 1990, he founded the German independent band , one of the key band of the "Hamburger Schule"-movement in Germany. After the band split in 2007, he started a solo career. Also, he started to write novels in 2015.
