Josephine Davies

British saxophonist and composer. Born in the Shetland Islands. she trained as a classical flutist, and then an alto saxophonist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In her second year she discovered John Coltrane’s album „A Love Supreme“. She changed her alto for the tenor and her focus to Jazz. Winner Of the 2019 Parliamentary Award Jazz Instrumentalist of the year. In 2016 she founded the Trio Satori.
