Alsacian conductor and violinist, born 26 September 1891 in Strasbourg, German Empire (now France), and died 6 November 1968 in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Noted for his mastery of the French orchestral repertoire, he was best known as music director of the . Son of organist and choir director Ernst Münch, he was the fifth of six children.
