Spirale was born in a neighborhood called Casal Palocco, a residential area near Rome, Italy. The band was officially formed at the end of the 1973's summer. In 1974 they signed a recording contract with the International King record label, thanks to Mario Schiano, a well-known free-jazz saxophonist who discovered the band, and producer Toni Cosenza, who included the album in the ‘King Jazz-Line’ series. It was their first and only release. It must be included to important Italian Jazz-Prog vein together with [A=Napoli Centrale] and [A=Arti & Mestieri] but also some minor other bands such [A=Maad], [A=Esagono] or [A=Il Baricentro]. Following the low sales of the album the group disbanded at the end of summer 1975.
