Pure Reason Revolution is a British rock group formed at the University of Westminster in 2003. On 9 August 2011, the band announced that they were splitting up. They reunited in 2018 at Midsummer Prog Festival with only 2 original members left (Courtney, Alper). A new album Coming Up to Consciousness was released in 2024, with Courtney and Jong, but without Alper. The album features new vocalist Annicke Shireen and drummer Ravi Kesavaram. They toured in 2026 with Jon Courtney (Guitar/Vocals), Annicke Shireen (Keys/Vocals), Ravi Kesavaram (Drums), Ingo Jetten (Guitar/Vocals) and Chloe Alper (vocals) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Dark Third, their first studio album.
