Jesse Garon & The Desperadoes were an Edinburgh based Indie group active between 1985-1990. Originally made up of musicians Andrew Tully (guitars/vocals), Eric Webster & Angus McPake (bass guitar), Fran Schoppler (vocals), Margarita Vasquez-Ponte (drums), Kevin McMahon (guitars), and Stuart Clarke (guitar), the line-up would record the first 2 singles '[m=820506]' & '[m=695733]', where Clarke & McMahon would leave soon after. For the group's 3rd release, the '[r=722250]' guitar roles would draft in Bruce Hopkins and John Robb. They would later be replaced by Micheal Kerr of Meat Whiplash. Moving to Velocity Records in 1989, Jesse Garon & The Desperadoes would release '[m=1042110]', a collection of their past works in one handy record. The following year saw the group's sole album '[m=255291]' released, with the leading single '[m=1297997]'. Their final release, '[m=3153396]' came out October 1990. In July 2024 the band's '86 Janice Long session was released digitally & on limited edition vinyl by Precious Recordings of London
