American latin jazz musician, artist, and composer, born 16 July 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri, died 5 May 1982 in Manila, Philippines. He worked from the 1950s onwards until his death. Best known for his talents on the vibraphone, but also accomplished on drums and bongos.
