Egotronic

German Electropunk band based in Berlin and founded in 2000 by in Kassel. In late 2022, Burkhardt proclaimed the end of the band after being told to suffer from an uncurable carcinosis. Egotronic is considered as one of the most influential bands in the genre of political Electropunk. The band was left-wing and Anti-German, in their beginning the band's style emphasized more the electronic aspect, in their later stage they became more punk-oriented. In the 1990's, Burkhardt started his musical career in 1996 with a solo project called "König Ego". He tried to form a band from this solo project, which led to the beginnning of Egotronic in Kassel in 2000. In 2006, they released their first of 10 albums named "Die richtige Einstellung".
