Female vocalist. Born in Shiretoko, Hokkaido, Japan; now London-based. Draws on experience of ballet, theatre, traditional folk music, koto and gagaku (the court music of ancient Japan). The name "Hatis Noit" relates to the stem of the lotus flower in Japanese folklore.
