French disco-electro songwriter, producer, label manager, arranger and drummer. Born May 24, 1952 in Vitry-sur-Seine, Paris, France. Father of Greg Cerrone, brother of . At age 18 he became musical director of the "Club Mediterranée" vacation clubs / holiday resorts. In 1972, he formed and led , with several hits and a very lucrative contract with the French label Barclay. Cerrone went solo in 1976. The same year, he also created the group that he still manages. Since then, he has released over 25 solo albums, including soundtracks. With Giorgio Moroder, and , Cerrone is amongst the most pivotal figures of the Euro disco sound.
