X-Ray (November 18, 1962 - January 6, 2025) was a Queens, NYC-based hip-hop producer and emcee, known to have been one of the main producers for MF Grimm & MF Doom's project, Monsta Island Czars. He was one half of Darc Mind along with MC Kev-Roc. X-Ray has worked with Dr. Dre, Rick Rubin, Public Enemy, Parliament, 3rd Bass, Theodore Shapiro, Kool DJ Red Alert, DJ Fakts One, KMD, and Panjabi MC. Former CEO of Mindbenda Recordings. X-Ray's music on the documentary feature film "On the Ropes" has won him a Sundance Film Festival Award and was nominated for an Oscar in 1999.
