Indian lyricist and actor, he was well known by his pen-name Gulshan Bawra (literally meaning: "Gulshan The Mad"). He was born on 12 Apr 1937 in Punjab (British India) and died on 7 Aug 2009 in Mumbai. He wrote lyrics for around 200 songs featured over 42 years in different Bollywood films, and he has also appeared as a character actor in some Hindi films.
