A Finnish humour band founded in 1993 in Joensuu as a side project for band . Eläkeläiset play mainly humorous cover versions of famous pop and rock hits using the fast and hilarious humppa beat or slow jenkka style (trad. Finnish polka-like dances). Band members’ names are artist names, which are created by using their own second name as the first name while surname is their mother’s maiden name.
