Relatively short-lived (1979 to 1981, then reformed in June 2016 to present) new-wave rock band from Guildford, UK, formed around David Fenton. Managed by Bruce Foxton of The Jam and Paul Weller's father, John Weller, they enjoyed worldwide success with their second single "Turning Japanese." After 2 albums, tours of the US, UK and Australia, subsequent disenchantment with the insincerity of the record industry and a lukewarm reception to their second album, the band dissolved. They started touring again in 2016 and in May 2020 released their 3rd album "Together." Original lineup: David Fenton Guitar, Vocals; Ed Bazalgette Guitar; Steve Smith Bass, Vocals; Howard Smith Drums. Reunion lineup: David Fenton Guitar, Vocals; Ed Bazalgette Guitar; Steve Smith Bass, Vocals; Michael Bowes Drums; Dan Fenton Guitar, Vocals.
