Exists is a Malaysian pop/rock band formed in Johor, Malaysia in 1991. The band's original line-up included Mamat as the lead vocalist, Shah on lead guitar, Along on second guitar, Musrad as bass guitarist, Ajai on keyboard and Ujang as the drummer. They achieved local fame with the release of their single, 'Untukmu Ibu', followed by their debut album, 'Exist' (1991). The band followed up with 'Anugerah' (1993), the last album which featured Mamat on vocals. Their next release, 'Diammu Gunung Berapi' (1995), which featured Ezad as the band's new vocalist lifted the band within the local music industry. They started to take on a new musical style in the following years with their release of 'Jangan Gentar' (1997), followed by 'Mutan' (1998), 'Ada' (2001), 'Seperti Dulu' (2003) and 'Paragon' (2004). The band mainly features both hard rock and power ballad musical styles but in the later years of their studio album recording, the band has also featured many sub-genres of rock & metal in their song compositions. Exists currently consists of Ezad (lead vocals), Along (guitar & backing vocals), Musa (bass guitar), Ajai (keyboard) & Ujang (drums). The band's most memorable formation happened during 2019, when they decided to reunite with former band members like Mamat, Shah & Ajai, now known as Exists Reunion. Exists also has 2 extra members, Eiz & Pasya (of Malaysian singing reality show Mentor) who were featured in the Exists Resolusi concert alongside Mamat, Along, Musa, Ujang & Ajai, temporarily replacing Ezad for he wasn't available for the concert due to other performance commitments which had been confirmed much more earlier.
