Gotham City were a 1980's Swedish heavy metal band. They debuted in 1982 with a self-titled, self-financed 7-inch. The following year they released the Black Writs 12" EP. Early 1984 saw the release of their sole LP, The Unknown, pressed by the local label Fingerprint Records. Due to a lack of support, they split up in 1987.
