Following the death of guitarist Alex Nelson, long running heavy metal/shock rock act broke up in 2004. In the wake of split, vocalist Lizzy Borden, bassist Marten Andersson and drummer Joey Scott put together a new side-project, and with the addition of guitarist Joe Steals, Starwood was formed. Starwood released one album, 2004's "If It Ain't Broke, Break It!" on Metal Blade Records, before reformed in 2006.
